It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

It's Football Season, Ya'll!! Football season is met with the same enthusiasm as Christmas over here at the Bryan household. But it is better in some ways, you still get to gather with family and friends and eat and don't have to worry about buying a boat load of presents! Just some game-day snacks and beverages, and you are ready for a party! I have to say, that nobody does football better than the SEC. That is one thing Joseph and I actually agree on! He is a huge Georgia Bulldog fan, and I am a huge Florida Gator fan. So we mix like oil and water when it comes to our teams. And of course, the UGA/UF rivalry is one of the biggest in the nation. Hello? We don't even play each other on our home fields. So from time to time it can get pretty ugly around here. October 30th will be no exception either. That's why on that day, I will not be watching the game with my otherwise lovely husband. I will probably be in the good state of Florida, where I belong. I just pray that UGA has a good year. It makes for a lot happier Joseph and a much happier Ashley!

Both teams kick off on Saturday. UGA against UL Lafayette and UF against Miami-Ohio. Always have to start the season with a warm-up game. But I would much rather watch in-conference games. Florida gets their first taste against Tennessee and Georgia against Arkansas on September 18th. So let's all get ready for sitting on the couch, watching Game Day until our games come on and get in the football state of mind. Oscar has both Flordia and Georgia jerseys. Guess I need to get the little ones their own too. I'm thinking they will all switch shirts every Saturday, just to keep things fair.

And here is my favorite schedule for the SEC, the helmet schedule. I would normally have this posted up in my office somewhere, but since I only work 4 hours a day, I don't see that happening this year. HA HA!

                Sept. 4        Sept. 11      Sept. 18       Sept. 25        Oct. 2           Oct.9       Oct. 16        Oct. 23         Oct. 30      Nov. 6         Nov. 13      Nov. 20     Nov. 27

So here's to all my fellow football fans. Men, enjoy yourselves. Wives, get ready to be ignored at least one day out of the week!!

As Joseph would say, guess it's time for me to break out the cut-off blue jean shorts and start picking my boogers, like a true Florida fan. (that's a myth to all you Georgia fans out there) GO GATORS!! (and if I have to, Go Dawgs!!) Oh, and I will throw in a Weagle, weagle, war damn eagle for my AU buddies!!
