My only wish was that the beach was prettier. It has been raining a lot lately, so seaweed had gathered on the shore and the water was a little more murky than usual. Other than that, it was beautiful!
David and I met the rest of the crew on Saturday for our first day of fun. Luckily, we were able to hit up the Raw Bar in Indian Pass for lunch. It was delicious! I love some fresh Apalachicola oysters. I am thankful we went at lunch, because when we went back to dinner there that night, they were fresh out of oysters.
Of course, my favorite thing about this place is that the owners are huge Gator fans, hence the orange and blue checkerboard floor and the big Gator head that greats you at the door. Instant love! After going all summer to nothing but Georgia and South Carolina beaches, it felt amazing to be at home in Florida in our neighboring county. Gulf County rocks.
After lunch, we went down to the boat landing and took in the scenery.
Once we got home and finished unpacking all of our supplies at the house, we went down to the beach to watch Barrett swim and to have a little fun.
Here is Daddy with his BFF, his cup. He always carries around a cup from the Quick Pic (the local gas station) and we decided to name the cup Wilson. A la Castaway style. So here is daddy and Wilson enjoying the view.
David probably summed up his sentiments about me and the trip below. My heart was how I felt about our trip! <3
Ok, I will wrap up this post for today. Lots more to come tomorrow!
