The Celebration Continues!

Yep! The 30th Birthday is still going strong. I have to admit, this has been a wonderful birthday. If my birthday is any indication of what my thirties will hold, its gonna be a great decade! On Monday, my actual birthday, I thought it was going to be a quiet night. Stacey said she was going to cook dinner for me, like she has for the past 2 birthdays that she has lived in Thomasville. I should have known something was up when she got home and informed me that we were going out for my birthday. (and she also threw in a "did you wear makeup today? you might want to go put some on...") Little did I know that she was in on a little secret. My brother Brad came up to surprise me and took us out for steaks. I had given him such a hard time about ignoring me on my birthday weekend celebrations. Yeah, I felt bad after his surprise! So he came and spent the night with me and we had a fabulous time. It was the perfect present. :-) Yesterday my birthday was still in full swing. My boss at work surprised me with an awesome present. He got me....
... a Keurig for the office!! I am so super pumped about my present. I am the only one who really drinks coffee at the office and I never wanted to make a pot just for me. Last week I hinted to my boss that I needed a Keurig. I was surprised when he got me one for my birthday. He even got me all kinds of assorted coffee flavors, cups, and even some madelines to munch on. So super sweet. The VP of the company got me the balloon. How did he know that it is in fact "all about me?" Ha!! The party continued on to lunch when I met my sweet friend, Casi and her adorable little girl for lunch. It's always great to have an excuse to see some of your favorite people and catch up! We will have to do that more often, Casi!

After lunch, I was pretty confident that my birthday celebrations were over. It wasn't! Every Tuesday night I drive up to Albany to join an awesome group of people for Bible study and to get our Jesus on. My {ex?} brother and sister-in-law are involved with starting a new church plant in the area. So I go to join the New City Albany Church crew for great fellowship and to just dive into the word. It. Is. Awesome. (if you're in the area, come join!!) I have to admit, I have gotten more out of our little group sessions than a month of Sundays sitting in church. It has really been good for me. Great encouragement and just a refreshing perspective on worshiping God and joining with other believers. My little New City family surprised me with a surprise party. I walked in the door and my little niece jumped up in her party hat and yelled "Happy Birthday!!!" It was so cute. Not to mention the special rendition of "Happy Birthday" that she sang just for me. I could eat that child up with a spoon she is so yummy.  Mary Kathryn made me a special purple (my favorite color) birthday cake. It is already cut in the picture below. The little ones wanted a piece of cake before bed.

So after our Bible Study, we all pigged out on birthday cake. It was really super sweet of them to do that for me. It really warmed my heart. Again, I cannot express the overwhelming outpouring of all my family and friends who really made my birthday super special. It's been a great one!

And I will finish up with all the birthday festivities with a wonderful video present from my nephew, Barrett. They sent me this on my birthday and it is without a doubt, the cutest, sweetest little video. I love this child!

Ok...no more birthday posts. Promise!
