Bed, Bath, and Beyond....

Okay. That was quick. But it is so much trouble to post a lot of pictures to the same post. Aah, the bathroom. Did I mention that I hate painting? I swore yesterday while I was painting that I wasn't going to put a second coat on the walls because I had had enough, but lo and behold I did end up putting on a second coat. ONLY because this morning getting a shower it was glowing in some spots where it didn't cover all the way. Which brings me to my second point, I hate textured walls, for this exact reason. Let me show you my samples that I tried.

As you can see I got a little carried away with the top sample. I was wanting something a little bright, but not too bright. Let's just say I said Hasta la Vista, La Fonda Jalapeno. I did like the bottom color, so that's the one I went with. Now a view of the finished product. That is what little bit I could take a picture of. This bathroom is about the size of most normal people's walk-in closets.

The color doesn't really show well in the picture, but I can see where I painted over Mr. Jalapeno, so another reason why I had to do a second coat.

So now the bathroom is painted. Now I just need to find a shower curtain and towels, etc.

Back to the bedroom. Since I got the idea to use this bedspread and stuff, I got the brilliant idea to use my old wicker furniture I had when I was younger. How dumb does one have to be? So I called up my father (didn't go through my mother since she wouldn't let me use her unused bedspread, so I figured she would tell me no. Divide and conquer.) Anyways, they agreed to let me repossess it but there is a stipulation....it needs to be painted. I had redone the wicker several years ago. It was originally white but when I was into my leopard print/tropical theme I painted it, then stained it to make it look like dark wicker. That was a fun job, let me just say. So now I guess I will be painting it back white. Hopefully I can convince my father to spray it for me although he already told me that I had to do it. So we will see. I will take pictures when that joy commences. But it is free and I need some kind of furniture in there and I didn't want to buy any, so ding, ding, ding, get what you can take! Which leads me to my next project. I know, right?

The hideous computer/office area. This is what I am working with presently.

What a rat's nest! It is unsightly and always messy, and there are wires everywhere. So I am done with all of this. Plus, I need the wall space for my new furniture. So then I got the wonderful idea to move the computer and stuff to the closet. Granted, the closet is small but I figured it could house the computer, then I can just close the door. No more mess! I have already bought the stuff to do it. I just stained the wood I am using for the shelf. But I will post all of that stuff when I have it finished. So that is all that I have for today. I am exhausted just talking about it, much less having to do the work to get it done. Me and my ideas!
