Here is my door before the paint. Notice the lovely shade of 1985 country blue.
Now it is a nice shade of black. I will have to go back and add another coat. Apparently, the country blue was not going to go down without a fight!
On to my next project....the flowers.
I fell in love with these pansies. I have never seen any colored like these before. They look so delicate and girly. And as for those pink flowers. They had a round thing keeping the flowers up and when I took that out to transfer the flowers to their new home, let's just say they exploded when they were set free!
Ah!! The infamous hutch. This hutch was originally white with a light stain. So I painted it and restained it...almost 2 years ago! And all this time it has been without its knobs. So while I was at Lowes I decided it was time to finally add the finishing touches to it, so I bought some since I had lost the original ones when I was refinishing it. Man...I don't think I ever finish a project that I start. But two years later, it is finished!!! I think I need some decorations of some sort on top of it. Any suggestions?
I have a new project in the works. I am going to be redecorating my bedroom and moving our old bedding into the guest room. So when that gets underway, I will be sure to post the progress. I asked Joseph how he felt about greens and pinks. (My mom has had this bedding for forever. She was going to redo my grandmother's bedroom with it, but the comforter was too heavy for my grandmother to lift. It's a long story!) Of course he wasn't thrilled but he did have to quote Kenny Chesney and said "she wanted to decorate our bedroom in blue and yellow and I wouldn't let her. It wouldn't have hurt nothing." Or however that song goes. I am just excited because when I redo the guest room, all of Joseph's Georgia crap will have to come down. Yeah! But if you noticed in the door pictures, Uga is still dutifully standing guard at the front door. Guess that is one thing that he won't let me touch! So, stay tuned for the progress!!

Lady, I am SO proud of you!!! You have me motivated to start some of my projects:-) Keep it up, I will be reading and looking for ideas. Love the pansies!
