My sweet mother and aunt came this weekend to help us out. They were troopers and painted two bedrooms for us, along with helping with moving things. We couldn't have done it without them! So thank you Mama and Birdie for all the help!
Onto some other fun stuff from this weekend. I was so excited that Stacey and I rewarded ourselves last night by going to watch the Hunger Games.
I have been waiting a really long time for this movie. I was first turned onto this series back in 2009. We read the first one for one of our book selections back when our Book Club was still meeting. Of course, after reading the first one, I couldn't wait for the second one! Sadly, I had to wait for the 3rd one to come out, but I picked that bad boy as soon as it hit the shelves. Stacey cracked me up about this movie. She read the first two books and I lent her my third book to read, like 2 years ago, which she has yet to finish. (Tisk, tisk!) What was so funny is that she thought that the movie would tell all three books-in the same movie. And I was like, ummm..no. This is Hollywood. They are going to do a trilogy and milk this thing for every dime they can. Needless to say, she wasn't pleased with this! The movie was great and I look forward to going to see it again with David. He was a trooper and he read all three books in the past two weeks or so to prepare to see the movie with me.
Another good thing about the weekend is this:
MAD MEN is finally back on for season 5! I love this show! I am so happy it is back. I love all the fashion from the sixties. I really think I was born in the wrong decade. One of my favorites is Joan Holloway portrayed by the lovely Christina Hendricks.I think she is gorgeous and I love the fact that she isn't a size 0-2. She is what a real woman should look like and embraces her curves. Just like all women should. To be comfortable at any size and not feel like you have to live up to some unattainable ideal. Love it.
And speaking of curves, this will definitely put some curves on you:
It's Easter in Blountstown, which means the Pentecostal church is selling their delicious peanut butter eggs. My mom was so sweet to bring me a little taste of home.
So that wraps up what's going on in my world. Packing, tv watching, and peanut butter egg eating. Sounds like a great weekend, right?
